Believe Him, He’s good for it!

You know something I have realized?! It seems pretty elementary upon saying it and a realization that seems to happen over and over again but it is this: When you believe God for who He says He is, there is never a time when He will prove you wrong.

Not one.

I mean, even the times when your stubborn, strong-willed self tries your hardest to do it on your own, IF you release it to Him, He will take care of you.

He tells us FEAR NOT– fear not! Do NOT fear. I HAVE THIS. Please. Stop straining. Stop your whirlwind & your desperate attempts to control. Stop your striving.

Jesus is saying: HEY! You!

If you go where I ask, I will provide for you there.

If I call you to a relationship, I will give you the time, words and ability to be present for that person.

If I entrust You with a gift, I will bless you with what you need to share it.

But show up. Get there. And by get there, I mean come to Me.

I will take care of you. The clouds may loom but I am your shelter. The river may dry up but I am the living water. The harvest may seem empty but I am the bread of life. The future may seem shaky but I am the author of your life.

Your life may seem unsure but I am certain.

So– friends– can we trust Him with that? That He will take care of us and that we can go in the way He has called us to go? Day by day?

Has He now shown you- HE IS GOOD FOR IT. Trustworthy like no other.

Let’s go.

Happy Hump Day

“You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus.” -Philippians 4:19 The MSG

I have always known how important it is to start your day in ways that provide energy, strength, and focus for the hours that follow…but it felt so difficult. It required some changing of habits and some rearranging of my schedule. It...

Goodbye to guilt & receive His grace.
Goodbye to guilt & receive His grace.

I used to believe that guilt was holy in a way. It showed that I knew what Jesus was asking of me in a moment or that I knew something I should’ve done or been, and I regretted not being/seeing/doing that. Maybe it’s guilt over not being the best daughter you can be. Or brother, wife, husband, friend, sister, etc. Maybe it’s those words you said about a coworker in the heat of the moment that you didn’t...

Speak them out loud.
Speak them out loud.

May 29, 2018

I remember sitting in a conference a couple years ago and the speaker said, “Tell yourself out loud! Speak it over yourself but give it volume!” And I’m thinking, “I have never done that, consistently at least.” I was also thinking, “Is that like a true difference-maker? The whole giving it volume, making sure your own ears hear it thing?” Well, joke’s on me because I have noticed, over the big and the small things, that when I...
