The word that signifies a need for something new, the hope for something greater, the knowledge and belief that remaining stagnant is never your only option.
We all want change in some way, regarding something or someone, but many times we don’t want what is required in order to enact such change.
You want a difference? You’re going to have to do something different.
And we do that sometimes.
We come to a resolution. We are determined! This time– it will be different. And so we get up and we show up and we see the fruit of that labor. We understand the importance of this new action, habit or adjustment.
But as our “camp-high” departs and we lose a little steam, we miss a day. And then another. And then another. The first one didn’t feel like defeat until shame tagged along and all the sudden, we are back at square one.
Why? Because we lacked CONSISTENCY. True change of any nature does not usually come about by doing A LOT A LITTLE bit of the time; rather it happens when we do A LITTLE A LOT of the time.
When we show up and we keep showing up and we keep showing up.
We follow through. We become promise-keepers. We become people of our Word because we believe the Word He has spoken over us.
Do yourself a favor: Be consistent. Show up!!!!!! For yourself and for others, yes. But mainly? For Him.
