Do as you know.

Question for you: Do you have anything in your life that seems to be a continual struggle? Maybe it is an addiction that you just can’t seem to kick? Maybe it’s a thought pattern that seems to constantly taint your perspective? Maybe it’s your attitude towards a specific relationship?

Whatever the issue that you are facing is, it feels as though change is impossible. As our actions, thoughts and words become consistent over time, our human hearts start to believe that we are stuck. It’s a habit and we are doomed.

Paul said it best in Romans: “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.” -Romans 7:1

We KNOW better but we just can’t seem to DO better.  A better life has been advertised and others seem to be able to turn the page but we are in a rut and the chapter seems to be never-ending.

But can I tell you something? You are capable of moving forward. Information will never be the cause for transformation. Instead, change will only happen when you let Jesus enter and show you true revelation.

Sure, this might require some exposure you don’t want and some lifestyle changes that are uncomfortable. Sure, some people around you might question your ability to actually have a lasting change. Sure, your resources  might seem limited and your circumstances may seem doubtful.

But, Jesus.

You see, when other knows that you have attempted to do better but you have failed, don’t you think they will wonder what was different this time around? You will be able to say that it was your FAITH that made you well, not your fortune or your ability to fix anything. Essentially, it wasn’t you at all, it was your Jesus.

The knowledge of nutritional information doesn’t make you lose weight.

The attainment of resources and money doesn’t make you successful.

The information gained through reading His word is life-altering if we stop letting it just be “information”, or “history” or a “memory verse”

You want life change? Redemption? A fresh start in your book of life?

Apply His word. Feast on His truth. Let your Jesus be the reason in which you awake and rest.

Let Him wreck you so that He can heal you and then rebuild you.

Child, you are not far from God. He is near. You are not beyond repair- brokenness and hopelessness are His specialties. Go to His feet and let Him remind you of who He created you to be.

Despite how crazy your world feels, you ARE a world-changer. Let the application of what you know today be evidence that you know Jesus.

Praying for you today, friends!!!:)

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” –James 1:22

Short and sweet— whatcha been doing this morning? Have you developed a healthy routine when your mind wakes up and your feet hit the floor that will ensure a peaceful and productive rest of your day? I have always known how important it is to start your day in ways that provide energy, strength, and focus for the hours that follow…but it felt so difficult. It required some changing of habits and some rearranging of my schedule. It...

Goodbye to guilt & receive His grace.
Goodbye to guilt & receive His grace.

May 30, 2018

I used to believe that guilt was holy in a way. It showed that I knew what Jesus was asking of me in a moment or that I knew something I should’ve done or been, and I regretted not being/seeing/doing that. Maybe it’s guilt over not being the best daughter you can be. Or brother, wife, husband, friend, sister, etc. Maybe it’s those words you said about a coworker in the heat of the moment that you didn’t...

Speak them out loud.
Speak them out loud.

May 29, 2018

I remember sitting in a conference a couple years ago and the speaker said, “Tell yourself out loud! Speak it over yourself but give it volume!” And I’m thinking, “I have never done that, consistently at least.” I was also thinking, “Is that like a true difference-maker? The whole giving it volume, making sure your own ears hear it thing?” Well, joke’s on me because I have noticed, over the big and the small things, that when I...
