From the east to the west.

Do you wanna know what the Lord does with all your junk? Your sins and struggles and hang ups that you can’t seem to get off your mind or quit dwelling on?!

He takes them in His mighty and sovereign hands and He casts them from the east allllllllllll the way to the west (Ps. 103:12). Literally, gone! See ya. Not meant to be mentioned or focused on again.

Why is it that we struggle with forgiving ourselves or others like this? We claim forgiveness or use the world flippantly but we keep that little stone close by, in the case that we need to remind ourselves or others of that shame, ya know, for good measure.

Y’all, if Jesus casts our sin this way, don’t you think He wants us to do the same? Don’t you think He is tired of us using a stronghold as a clutch, a past struggle as an excuse, or letting a root of bitterness keep us from moving forward in our relationships with ourselves and others?

Yes, glean from the situation what you should. Take the time to understand what He was trying to show you and decide to not make that mistake again. Then take a BIG bottle of grace and pour that baby all over your day, reminding yourself to start new.

Freedom isn’t possible when you carry around stones, friends. Gotta let those go. For you and for them, but mostly, for Him. Yeah? Let’s do that today.

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” -Ephesians 4:31-32

“I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and remembers your sins no more.” -Isaiah 43:25
