*Cue sighs and “Ugh”s and sticking face back in pillow response*
And we tend to start off the week kinda hating the fact that it’s starting and already counting down to when it’s over.
But do you realize how much we MISS when we do that?! How many opportunities we overlook because we are absolutely flying through our day, gas pedal to the floor and starry-eyed about our weekend plans?
Trust me, I’m all aboutthat TGIF BUT I am also allabout that HERE AND NOW!
I think we should make it our goal to practice crazy, wild, “you-make-no-sense” optimism– I bet it would change things.
I bet you would start to smile a little more and receive smiles a little more.
I bet interruptions wouldn’t make you want to have a coronary and – THIS MAY SHOCK YOU- but you would survive rush hour traffic and not silently kill someone! (Anything is possible).
Optimism is not fairies and roses and rainbows and living in an alternate universe.
Optimism is just being keenly aware of the beauty in this universe and realizing who is in control of it all!
Optimism is understanding the power of the Gospel and clinging to the hope it has promised.
Optimism says, “All is grace so whatever it may be and however today goes, it is well.”
It is SO well.
It’s going to be a GREAT week, okay? BELIEVE it. You betta preach it
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.” -Philippians 4:8
