I wonder, if we took the time to reflect back on our days, how often would we find that we entered conversations, and situations seeking the affirmation of others?
Probably often unintentionally. Because the reality is, if we aren’t intentional, this is how we operate.
Tell me I’m valued! Worth it! Tell me you’re impressed!
When we enter with this kind of perspective, we are almost asking for heartbreak. What could have been just constructive criticism becomes our kryptonite. What could have been just a comment that you release and let go, becomes the root of your anxiety.
Because we weren’t meant to live out of their acceptance, but rather HIS affection!
Loved, adored, valued, important– that is what you are.
When you enter a situation knowing your identity, the rejection you could face no longer has the ability to cripple you. Why? Because it didn’t make you so it can’t break you.
Let’s be self-aware today. Let’s look at our roots and see who we are asking to fill our cup.
Let’s let today be a day where we enter FULFILLED, assured, RESTING in WHO He says we are!!!
“The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.” -Zephaniah 3:17
