We’ve become numb to its actual meaning because we often hear it at a time when we aren’t ready to receive it. But If we could just GET THIS TRUTH, it would change everything about how we treat ourselves and others.
Think about this– what determines how you treat people? How you see them, right? Usually we are more attentive to those we love, more respectful of those we esteem and more understanding of those we see as less fortunate.
But what if we desperately tried to see them and ourselves like Our Maker intended?
Not for what they lack, but for who they are.
Not for what they can give us, but for who they are.
Not for their position, but for who they are.
Usually, how we treat others is based on the filter that we use. Therefore if we mindfully seek to see them as our Father does, we will begin to use the same filter on ourselves.
A filter of acceptance. And grace. And truth. And joy. And gratitude. And ownership. And understanding. And above all, love.
If what He says is true, there is no flaw in you. Thank You, Jesus for the way that you see me! Help me to see myself and others through that same filter today
“Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” -Isaiah 64:8
