Well high water came.
And life happened.
And here I am, having to eat my words a little bit. Does that mean I am not going to do my best to resume this goal and actually remain accountable?
Heck no! I am absolutely swinging the bat again.
Why? Because there is grace.
There is always grace. For me, for you, for anyone, for everyone.
It’s this uncanny, constant, unwavering, beautiful, life-giving covering that your Heavenly Father has placed over your life and it makes every story beautiful.
Grace is the hand that removes your scarlet letter and writes, “Loved” on your forehead.
Grace is the second chance that you receive to follow your dreams after you thought all hope had been lost.
Grace is the voice that speaks to you in the valley reminding you that even though you let fear be your guide once before, hope is your guide into the future.
Grace is the painter that takes millions of strokes of different colors and weights and directions and blends them together to form this mysterious masterpiece.
Grace is the thread that weaves in and out of your life experiences all to form one common theme: You are loved.
How amazingly wonderfully crazy awesome is that?
As I sit here and type this, I just want to raise my hands (I can’t because I’m typing, duh), and thank Him over and over and over again.
“Jesus. Despite it ALL, your grace still finds me.”
And friend, it finds you too. Wherever you are, however lost you feel, whatever secrets you’re keeping, whatever life you’re living, whatever mistakes you’ve made, no matter the situation or circumstance- His grace is all-knowing, all-sufficient and always enough.
Will you unclench your hands, let out a deep breath and let Him fill you up?
Because in this complicated, busy, confusing, messy but brilliant life, it is grace that reminds us of our purpose, it is grace that allows us to try again and it is grace that says, “Just as you are, you are more than enough.”
Happy Hump Day, friends!
May we walk in His grace in our own lives, talk of His grace to those listening and offer grace to those who need it today!
“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” –Romans 5:1-2
