You are worth it all.

You are worth it all.

Oh man, if you only knew. If I only knew! If we could get this through our tiny little brains– that we, just as we are– are worth it all.

When He came and He gave it all, He did it for you. And for me. And He thinks every single drop of sweat, every tear He wept, and every ounce of blood He shed, was worth it. Is worth it. For you.

It’s easy though, to focus on how jacked up we are and how often we get it wrong. And then to stay there and wallow in that. To focus on our shortcomings, what we lack, and how we don’t measure up, because that’s been the conversation inside our head for so long!

But you, me, all of us, we were meant to sing a different song. We were created, for such a time as this, to do the impossible through our Jesus.

He has more than enough grace to cover all your brands of crazy. His love not just covers, but absolutely smothers, your flaws. And His plan for your life? Oh, friend. That’s based on Him, not you. What He can do through you, not what you can do on your lonesome.

Can we do ourselves a favor today? Can we trust just this one truth? Because IF WE CAN, if we can marinate and begin to comprehend and hangout inside this truth, it’ll revolutionize our confidence, our character, and our core.

You’ve always been enough. Your value has never changed, been compromised, or been up for question. It’s simply been a matter of you believing it when He tells you: You are Mine and you are enough.

Worth it. All. That’s you. And me. Come on somebody! I’m thankful!!!!

“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.” -Psalm 139:13-15

Short and sweet— whatcha been doing this morning? Have you developed a healthy routine when your mind wakes up and your feet hit the floor that will ensure a peaceful and productive rest of your day? I have always known how important it is to start your day in ways that provide energy, strength, and focus for the hours that follow…but it felt so difficult. It required some changing of habits and some rearranging of my schedule. It...

Goodbye to guilt & receive His grace.
Goodbye to guilt & receive His grace.

May 30, 2018

I used to believe that guilt was holy in a way. It showed that I knew what Jesus was asking of me in a moment or that I knew something I should’ve done or been, and I regretted not being/seeing/doing that. Maybe it’s guilt over not being the best daughter you can be. Or brother, wife, husband, friend, sister, etc. Maybe it’s those words you said about a coworker in the heat of the moment that you didn’t...

Speak them out loud.
Speak them out loud.

May 29, 2018

I remember sitting in a conference a couple years ago and the speaker said, “Tell yourself out loud! Speak it over yourself but give it volume!” And I’m thinking, “I have never done that, consistently at least.” I was also thinking, “Is that like a true difference-maker? The whole giving it volume, making sure your own ears hear it thing?” Well, joke’s on me because I have noticed, over the big and the small things, that when I...
