Jesus, THANK YOU. Another Monday. Another week of life we didn’t earn and could never manufacture. What a GIFT—we are awake to it!🤎
Father, please don’t let us become so familiar with Your goodness that we stop being amazed by it.
We want to be in AWE! Open our eyes. Our ears. Our hearts.
There are things in our lives right now we once prayed for, and things we’re still praying for that we cannot imagine how You’ll answer. Help us be grateful in BOTH places.
And Jesus, we need Your help with the ordinary stuff.
When someone’s tone bothers us more than it should or when something doesn’t go according to plan and we feel our attitude changing with it—whether big or small, we want to talk to You all day long!
And when we get caught up in our heads or bubble, call us up and call us out!
Please don’t let every little thing have the authority to change the temperature of our hearts.
Holy Spirit, show us what’s happening IN us, not just AROUND us. When our reactions reveal something that needs Your attention, give us the humility to recognize it instead of finding someone else to blame.
And Lord, show us where we are still grappling for control.
We want to do things well. We want to love people faithfully. We want to see the things we pour our hearts into bear fruit. But somewhere along the way, we start believing that if we prepare enough or anticipate every possibility, we can secure the outcome.
What an exhausting way to live when we have a Father who already knows what we cannot see.
So we come to You! We lay it down. It’s ALWAYS BEEN YOURS!
Jesus, teach us to work wholeheartedly AND rest in Your sovereignty.
Help us value correction because it helps us look more like You.
Show us how to celebrate where we currently are while letting You prepare us for what’s next.
You aren’t asking us to hold the world together. You’re inviting us to walk with the One who does.
Thank You for loving us so faithfully.
Thank You for connecting the dots far beyond what we can see.
Thank You for softening the hard and bitter places in us.
Thank You for letting us work with You, walk with You and WORSHIP YOU!
We are so blessed to belong to You, Jesus 🤍
