Jesus, thank You for the quiet, undeserved gift of a new week. What a GIFT to have more time and breath in our lungs. We praise You!
Before we rush into responsibilities, conversations, decisions, and all the ordinary moments that will fill these days, we pause and remember something that is already true: You are HERE.
With us. In us. Before us. After us. All around us.
You are not waiting at the end of the week to see how we did.
You are already present in every step we will take.
And when we remember that, something begins to shift.
The pressure to manage everything softens.
The need to anticipate every outcome loosens its grip.
The temptation to carry what was never ours begins to fade.
Because the truth is—peace is not produced by perfect circumstances.
Peace grows when our hearts stay close to the One who is steady.
Oh how our brains know this—but would you help us really BELIEVE it?
So today, would you help us? Show us how to bring the moment we are standing in to You. At every turn.
The conversation ahead.
The responsibility that feels heavy.
The decision we wish we had more clarity about.
Instead of trying to hold all of it ourselves, we place it gently in Your hands—Your able, steady, kind, generous hands.
And because of that, we don’t fear the future.
We don’t fear failure.
We don’t fear the unknown.
We don’t fear our limits.
Not because we have everything figured out, but because we serve a God who already stands in the future we cannot see. A Father who is faithful, a Savior who walks beside us, and a Spirit who strengthens us from within.
You are not fragile or distant.
You are attentive, compassionate, and deeply involved in the details of our lives.
So this week, we walk a little slower. We breathe a little deeper. We trust a little more. We keep learning what it means to live and love and lead well.
We stop praying and asking you to make it easier; instead, would You make us keenly aware of Your presence?
And when our hearts begin to race ahead again—as they often do—we simply return.
Back to trust.
Back to surrender.
Back to the steady presence of You, Jesus.
One faithful step at a time 🤍
