A prayer for a quiet sould, fresh perspective, + a peaceful week

Jesus, Thank You for the gift of another week. Not because I know what it holds, but because I know Who holds it.

Thank You that Your mercies are not running low. They have not been diminished by yesterday’s failures, frustrations, disappointments, or fears. You meet me here again with fresh grace, fresh perspective, and fresh strength for what is actually in front of me today.
Daily bread. I don’t have to store up!

You are so patient with me. So often I ask You to change my circumstances while You are gently working to transform me.
I ask for different outcomes, while You are forming a different heart.
I ask for answers, while Your Spirit is renewing my mind.

Thank You that You care far more about who I am becoming than simply what I am accomplishing. The reality is, You don’t need me! What a RELIEF! You let me partner with You so that we can walk together—so that I can learn Your heart. The work is good but the relationship is the gold.

You are not only leading me through life—you are forming Christ WITHIN me.
Thank You that Your Spirit is constantly recalibrating me when my thoughts drift, my priorities become disordered, or my emotions begin trying to lead where only truth should lead.

What a gift that I do not have to be ruled by every feeling, every fear, every distraction, or every circumstance.

Because of You, I can practice self-control when my flesh wants to react.
I can choose gratitude when negativity feels easier.
I can walk by faith when certainty feels unavailable.

Thank You that the things happening around me do not have final authority over me.
My circumstances are not my shepherd.
My emotions are not my master.
The opinions of others are not my compass.
You are.

You are the God who leads, corrects, comforts, convicts, sustains, and transforms.
You are the God who never stops working, even when I cannot see it.
You are the God whose presence changes everything.

More than anything, I pray for a deeper awareness and love for you. Help me hunger for that above everything.
