A prayer for bold faith + a calm heart

on September 15, 2025

A new week— Father, we are so grateful.
More time.
What an undeserved privilege. Help us not waste it.
.
Jesus, as I enter this new week, I feel the weight of the world pressing in—the uncertainty of life in general, the grief of loss, the noise of division, the endless voices online telling us who to fear, who to fight, who to follow— but when I reset my gaze on You, I’m reminded of Your power. Your sovereignty. Your strength. Your kindness. Your mercy on me and this nation and this world.
It’s so easy to let my gaze drift, to let anxiety or anger lead me instead of Your Spirit. But You call me to lift my eyes, to drink from the well of living water, to remember that peace is not the absence of conflict or hard things but the nearness of You.
This place— where I am right now— help me be both a person of ENDURANCE + ENJOYMENT.
Delight, not dread.
Overwhelming awareness of Your holy presence thick around me.

When the world shouts, help me hear Your whisper. When I want to rush to judgment, slow me down with mercy.
When I’m tempted to control the narrative, remind me that the only heart I can truly change is the one staring back at me in the mirror.
Anything in me that doesn’t look like You—pride, harshness, self-righteousness—call it out, strip it away, and humble me until my life reflects Your kindness and truth.

Give me bold faith this week, but keep my heart calm. Let my conviction burn steady without turning cold, and let my words carry courage without losing gentleness. I don’t want to join the chorus of fear and fury; I want to stand apart, rooted in love that doesn’t waver.
This world is so broken but Your beauty is woven throughout every crack.
Help us be people and a nation that pursues wholeness, WHATEVER it costs.
.
You are leading me.
Wherever you go, I will go and I will go with joy! And peace 🤍
