Help us, Jesus. May we not see these pictures and hear of these stories and carry on the same, believing the lie that because what we are doing feels so small, it’s pointless.
Every prayer reaches your ears!
Every dollar goes towards rebuilding.
Every word of encouragement becomes part of the melody of God’s people singing praise when the world feels like it’s burning around them.
Show us how to show up.
Thank You for every heart in Los Angeles and the family they represent near and far. Would You show Your face near to them? Wrap them in comfort and envelop them in peace. Remind them that even when the flames arise, they do not have to fear because You are sovereign. Nothing is too hard for You.
But when words feel like moral platitudes falling short, just hold them. You are collecting their tears and You already have a plan to restore!
Thank You for the first responders who have spent their lives risking their own to save another. Give them endurance. Fan their flame of faith as they subdue the flames around them. Refresh their strength as they fight. They are equipped for the job.
Thank You for every voice fighting for help and every hand extended to ask how to help carry such a heavy burden.
