A new week! A new month! Fresh wind. So, so, so much hope. Feet grounded in the truth of an unchanging God.
Jesus, thank You! A million times over, thank You. I can feel how quickly I start acting like everything depends on me. Before the day even begins, I’m already calculating—trying to anticipate what’s needed, what could go wrong, and how to stay ahead so nothing slips through my hands.
And somewhere in that, I subtly move into a role You never asked me to carry. You already hold everything in Yours—I know the difference of floundering and flourishing in my life is recognizing, releasing, and remembering You. Would You help me do that this week? You’re my sustainer.
You’re not ethereal or out there somewhere. You’re not too mighty a God to also be extremely personal—it is quite the opposite. It is both Your vastness AND Your intimacy to all You created that is too wondrous to comprehend. I’m so grateful that the things that feel fragile to me are not fragile to You.
Nothing is sitting on the edge of collapse waiting on my effort to keep it standing. You are actively sustaining what You’ve allowed. You are governing what I can’t see. You are working within what feels unresolved.
Because YOU live and reign and hold my life, I can actually live within my limits because You are not limited. It blesses You for me to actually release + just be present. I can release the need to secure outcomes…because You are the One who establishes them.
Humble my spirit. When I start to overanalyze or over-function out of anxiety or fear, lead me to the Rock that is higher than You.
I choose wisdom over pressure.
I choose the pace of peace.
I choose redefining my normal based on the Word of God, not the world.
I choose generosity over saving up for myself.
I choose courage over comfort.
I choose walking with YOU! Everywhere. Always.
I’m following You. That is the way of life and legacy!!!
