Jesus, thank You for the gift of a new week. New mercy. New perspective. New strength for what’s actually in front of me today. A totally fresh slate! How? Why? You keep lavishing out Your goodness, even when I forget Your kindness. I am so grateful.
Sometimes I forget that You never panic about my life. You are never scrambling. Never reacting. Never caught off guard by a single detail ahead of me. You know everything that has been revealed and all that will come—this brings such comfort to my soul. With every step, You’re preparing me.
When my mind gets loud today, can You reel me back in? Remind me of what is true. Lift my eyes to hope! Your presence heals and Your Word refines my flesh so that I can look like You. Thank You for helping me take You seriously and myself lightly. You restore my JOY in this way!!!
Thank You for always redistributing the weight—You place the pressure back on Your shoulders as You whisper, “Peace, my child. Let Me keep this so You can walk free.”
Holy Spirit, help me recognize when pressure is trying to disguise itself as wisdom.Show me where I’m gripping for control.Illuminate what is priority and what is distraction.Help my soul be generous.
Gentle my pace when hurry tries to lead me. Quiet the internal rush that makes me feel behind before the day even begins.Teach me how to fully live the life right in front of me instead of constantly bracing for the next thing.
And Jesus, when one situation tries to become “everything” in my mind, re-center me again. You are still good. Still faithful. Still near. Still sovereign over every unseen detail ahead.
Thank You that I don’t have to earn peace. I simply have to stay close to You.
May my life today carry the fragrance of someone who has been with Jesus: steady, soft, secure, full of conviction and full of peace.
