Jesus, another week! MORE TIME. We are so grateful! There isn’t a moment we deserve and yet, You lavish fresh strength, HOPE, and mercy before us. We get to walk this road with You.
We don’t have to brace ourselves for a week You’ve already gone ahead of us in. We want to LIVE it.
Help us wake up believing there is goodness here we haven’t noticed yet. Laughter! Strength! JOY! People we get to love. Things You’re going to teach us. Ordinary moments that will become memories without us realizing it. What a GIFT to still have days we haven’t lived yet. 🌟
Sometimes we confuse being responsible with being prepared for everything.
But You never asked us to predict our lives. You asked us to walk with You through them.
So Jesus, turn our anxiety into ANTICIPATION.
Instead of What if something goes wrong?—What if You surprise us?
What if the thing we’re nervous about becomes easier than we imagined?
What if the closed door redirects us somewhere better?
What if the discomfort becomes our greatest teacher?
What if an ordinary conversation reminds us how loved we are?
What if we discover we’re stronger than we thought because YOU are sustaining us?
What if something we’ve prayed about for a long time begins to shift?
And even if none of it looks how we expect, we already know the best part of this week: We get YOU. It’s the BEST NEWS!
Your presence isn’t the consolation prize when life doesn’t cooperate. You are the LIFE inside of it.
So make us interruptible enough to enjoy what we didn’t plan and what we did.
Brave enough to walk through doors You open and secure enough to release the ones You close.
Present enough to recognize Your fingerprints all over an “ordinary” Monday.
We don’t want to spend this beautiful life trying to live steps ahead— even if it’s good preparation.
Maybe being present is the essence of the Gospel— because it means we wake up to THIS day, actually release what’s behind us, and trust Your heart with what’s ahead.
You are here.
You are good.
You are trustworthy.
