Jesus, as this week begins, I can already feel the tension between wanting to slow down…and wanting to skip ahead.
I know how this story ends.
I know the stone is rolled away.
I know resurrection is coming.
But I don’t want to rush past what You walked through to get there.
I don’t want to miss the humility of Monday, the obedience of Thursday, the weight of Friday, or the silence of Saturday—just to arrive at Sunday with understanding but without formation.
So keep me HERE.
When my mind wants to move ahead, anchor me in what You are doing right now. When I feel the urge to control outcomes, remind me that surrender is where life begins. When I feel the discomfort of the in-between, teach me that You are not absent there—you are often doing Your deepest work in the places I want relief from—that is the Easter story!
You didn’t rush the process. You walked it fully—with intention, obedience, and love. You chose me over and over again, knowing how I would disappoint You.
Help me walk this week the same way. With my eyes so focused on Heaven, the world becomes faint in the background.
Let my life reflect the trust You help on the cross—where love beats logic every time.
Form in me a steadiness not dependent on circumstances. A faith that doesn’t need constant resolution. A heart that stays when it would be easier to escape.
And as I move through ordinary moments this week—the errands, the conversations, the unseen decisions—help me remember that resurrection doesn’t just change eternity…it reshapes how I LIVE TODAY.
So let revival begin here—not in a moment I chase, but in a posture I carry. Right where I am, in what feels ordinary, breathe life again and let everything shift as I align my life with what is already alive in You.
”Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be My follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow Me.” -Luke 9:23
Help me not just remember this story—but live it. To walk closely with You in the small, unseen moments, choosing surrender over control, trust over urgency, and presence over performance—Your way is always the best way 🤍
