Jesus, thank You—thank You, thank YOU—for the gift of a new week.
A fresh start. A beautiful sunrise. The breath in my lungs.
The opportunities and challenges before me—every bit of it is grace. Even the hard moments, or the ones that don’t align with my preference, refine and strengthen me. I’m grateful for the discomfort because it invites my dependence on You. And You are the treasure.
As this week begins, I’m reminded how easily my heart can become scattered. My attention stretches in too many directions. My thoughts move quickly between responsibilities, conversations, and the quiet pressure to hold everything together well. Before much has even happened, my mind can already feel full.
But before I move any further into these days, I want to remember something that changes everything:
You are NEAR.
Not occasionally attentive.
Not waiting until I have quieted myself enough to deserve Your presence.
You are already here—steady, aware, and deeply involved in the ordinary hours ahead. When I pause, even briefly, I’m reminded of Your sovereign and steady hand.
You are the God who WALKS with His people.
The One who notices the details I overlook.
The One who understands the weight I carry before I name it.
The One who never asks me to navigate life alone.
When I remember that, something in my soul begins to settle.
Because if You are near, I don’t have to live scattered or anxious. I don’t have to hold every outcome in my mind or carry the invisible pressure of making everything work.
Instead, I can move through this week aware that the God who holds all things together is gently holding me, too.
So keep drawing my attention back to You—over and over again. When my thoughts drift into noise, remind me of Your presence. When my heart begins to feel divided, gather it again in Your peace.
Let these days be shaped not by hurry or pressure, but by the quiet steadiness of walking with You.
The more aware I become of Your nearness, the less scattered my soul feels 🤍
GRATEFUL.
