There is SO MUCH NOISE right now.
There is the whirl of constant overstimulation and the yearning desire for a quiet soul.
There is the lightness that the Gospel offers and also the heaviness of the world.
There is healthy conversation going on and there is harmful dialogue happening.
There is the truth of Jesus Christ and there is the distorted truth that doesn’t allow for the narrow way.
There is the tone and warmth of Jesus being conveyed and there is a sterile and condemning posture being shown that looks nothing like Jesus.
There is unbelievable grace being extended to others and there is judgement being cast that doesn’t belong to human hands.
There is walking out of God-given authority and there is human pride that tries to masquerade as discipleship or shepherding.
There is the fear of God calling people to rise up and there is the fear of man causing others to squander the very place, platform, or position they’ve been given.
But do you know what is true of EVERY single human being, especially for believers right now? WE ALL NEED JESUS.
HOW will others know the love of our Father if our posture, actions, or words don’t look anything like Him?
Maybe, amidst all the tabs in your head and the heaviness of this cultural moment, you need a reminder of what is true + vital.
Recall + rehearse this.
Rejoice in what is true! And return where you’ve strayed.
1. Where does Jesus live? Since he’s in your heart, you have ALL that you need to be salt + light where you are. It is His love for you that must take residence before fruit can take root.
2. Do you have your listening ears on? Are you listening to rebuttal and react or are you listening to respond? To hear their heart? And when God speaks, will you follow?
3. Have you activated your armor? Fear of man will keep you captive until you apply your own personal armor. Without covering, your courage will be stifled.
4. Have you lifted your head and your hands and your heart to Him? Gratitude shifts the atmosphere. Praise is your song in every season because He doesn’t shift.
5. Where are your eyes? Where you look inherently leads you. Reset your gaze. This is your way to peace.
