He hasn’t overlooked you; He is helping you develop the spirit of an overcomer.

Can we just be honest? Oftentimes, being set apart often feels like being hidden, like you’ve been tucked away and in the process, forsaken.
It can feel weary in the waiting:
It can feel discouraging and unfair as you watch others walk past in the direction you’re longing to travel.
Can this go by faster?
But then, with a little time, and as the Lord unveils the sacred to your eyes, you realize that you were being set apart.
Hidden in Him, tucked into the shadow of His wings.

The season that you were wanting to escape at first became the season of expectation. Of revelation. Of treasures only possible of discovering in the darkness when all you’ve been given is a flashlight. It is the intimacy that requires you to crouch down and look closely that positions you to find the diamonds. To be pruned.

Your human flesh will cry out for relevancy, yearn for affirmation, and beg for security.
But the Spirit knows that there is nothing sweeter and more necessary than the preparation of the Father.
He hasn’t overlooked you; He is helping you develop the spirit of an overcomer.

Like fruit tucked in a drawer, being hidden in Jesus ripens you in a way that can’t be expedited or expressed.
And perhaps the greatest mercy and fruit of all is helping you discover that your desire is not the flashy life—but the fruitful one. Your soul longs to be satiated in the sanctification process with Him.

You are being READIED.
God is showing you glimpses of Heaven that you will get to share with the world.
You aren’t in jeopardy of missing a specific timeline; surrendering to His will never force you to rush because He missed a memo.
God sees every moment in the future and is aware of everything that formed you in the past; He is the ONLY one who is aware of your present need.

Instead of finding comfort in an unsustainable pace or inking your security to the voices of an unquenchable world, being set aside to BE set apart invites an intimacy you can’t cultivate any other way.

Let His Word comfort you.
Fall firmly into His infallible character.
Get comfortable with being different.
Reframe things through Heaven’s lens.
Consider legacy > luxury.
