Life Happens Offline

on March 12, 2026

It is not lost on me that you are reading this…online.

Which feels a little ironic while I’m introducing something called Life Happens Offline.

But here’s the thing and something I firmly believe:
God has never asked us to disengage from the world. He calls us to move through it with wisdom, humility, and awareness—to live in the culture without being swallowed by its noise.

Because if we’re honest, most of us aren’t struggling with access to connection.

We’re struggling with constant input.

Notifications. Opinions. News. Messages. Content.
An endless stream of things asking for our attention.

And slowly—without meaning to—our souls start living in reaction mode.
Always responding. Always processing. Always “on.”
What goes from an honest desire to connect, produce, or stay informed becomes an avenue of numbing, escaping, + disengaging with the life in front of us.

Constant connection quietly steals our peace, presence, and perspective.
Stepping away restores our clarity, our joy, and our ability to notice God again.

That’s really the heart behind Life Happens Offline.

This isn’t a strict social media detox (although you could absolutely pair it with one). It’s a 30-day devotional companion designed to help us relearn something our souls actually crave:

• how to respond instead of react
• how to rediscover the power of quiet
• how to protect our peace in a loud world
• how to notice God again in ordinary moments

Because the goal isn’t just disconnecting from screens (though rhythms must be in place to do so.)
It’s reconnecting with the life right in front of us.
Our brains are tired and our spiritual life is suffering. It’s time to wake up

With Easter approaching, this could be such a meaningful rhythm to walk through—on your own, with a friend, with your spouse, or even around the table as a family.

What does God restore in us when we slow down?
What do we begin to see again when we finally look up?

Life Happens Offline released today, and I’m so grateful to finally share it with you.

Because the most sacred moments of our lives happen offline— when our hearts are fully engaged, curation stripped, and we begin to notice Him everywhere.
