“What made you start writing and sharing the Sunday declarations you always post?”—I get asked this often.
Honest answer? I needed them. I felt like I would get through the week and there were so many specific ways I wished I had leaned in and TAKEN NOTE of the presence of God. And to be honest, I was in a season where life was just LIFE-ING and I was internally questioning, “Am I even doing this right? Lord, am I missing it?”
And so, the Sunday declarations began. Every time I would write them, I would ask the Holy Spirit to crystallize the week before me—aka, help me see from different and unique sides of what’s ahead so that I can recognize the Maker’s goodness in specific ways.
What did I discover? What did WE discover together? (Because as I shared, you encouraged me to keep sharing because you felt it, too!)
That how we approach situations deeply matters. That our language preparing to enter and reflecting as we leave circumstances changes what we can glean from it. That the world is HUNGRY for hope, desperate for truth, and yearning for satisfaction that isn’t shaken by the rolling tides of culture or the curveballs of life.
We discovered that we get to reclaim authority over the places we have let the enemy speak.
We learned—and I mean deep within our bones—that God can redeem, restore, + revive ANYTHING. Whether it’s reinvigorating our passion in the workplace or completely transforming a marriage, He is moving in the big + small.
This devotion is a continuation of all of this—ALL NEW CONTENT—but with this mindset: “How do I live this week well? How do I remember God here? How do I pause, plant, + persevere when He asks?”
