Jesus, another week. Another opportunity to KNOW You, become more like You, and love the people You’ve placed in our lives. What a GIFT🤍
Father, we know You care about what we’re walking through. The unanswered prayers, the decisions we’re trying to make, the relationships that feel complicated, the things we’re hoping will finally change. You see it ALL.
But will You help us remember that Your work in us is just as important as what we’re asking You to do around us? You care FAR more about the inside.
Sometimes we get so focused on wanting something to change that we forget to pay attention to how we’re changing in the process.
We want relief from the pressure, but are we learning to depend on You? We want people to understand us, but are we becoming better listeners? We want more opportunities, but are we being faithful with the ones already in front of us?
Oh, Jesus. We don’t want to miss what You’re teaching us while waiting for what we’re asking You to do.
Would You keep us honest about what’s happening in our hearts?
When our desire to be responsible starts looking more like a need to control everything, SHOW US.
When insecurity makes us hesitant to use what You’ve given us, remind us that obedience has never required perfect confidence.
Chisel us.
Remove any scales from our eyes.
We want to be BRAVE with our lives. Not reckless or desperate to be noticed, but willing to love generously, take the next faithful step, and trust You with what happens afterward. Lead us. We are listening. You are worthy of every cost.
Father, please make us people who are GOOD to be around. We want to be people who notice when someone needs encouragement, celebrate another person’s blessing without questioning our own + welcome interruptions if it’s a chance to look more like You.
What a beautiful thing that we get to be chiseled and transformed by YOU. The author of every good thing and the Knower of our hearts. Our Maker. You are where we find our rest. Keep us close and show us how to love.
You are sovereign. You are near. You are GOOD.
