Sunday is here and thanksgiving week is upon us—we find our minds jumping into the days ahead, wondering how we will cross everything off the list and then God’s truth intervenes—the grace of God will cover what we cannot.
Will we release worldly expectations, slow down, and be fully present this thanksgiving?
This week, we will:
🤍 We will let the brevity of time—life is but a vapor—instruct our steps—if tomorrow isn’t promised, where would we go today? And what would we go? We will let eternity inform our perspective. We will release offense, be intentional, + walk lightly.
🤍 We will trust God to be God. Only He can transform the hearts of man and bring warmth where coldness exists. We will welcome His presence + believe for healing inside of us + around us. The process- whatever it requires—is worth it.
🤍 We will sit at the table with the One who wired our hearts and the hearts of everyone around us—receiving His love, we are empowered to love others. Soaking up His gentleness, we are reminded that grace wins, tenderness invites, and mercy extends the arms of Jesus like only He can.
🤍 We will practice gratitude in the moments that we planned for and feel prepared for—and those we don’t: especially those we don’t!!! Because we know that God doesn’t lead where He hasn’t readied us for. And the unexpected remind us that we aren’t in control—praise God 👏🏻
🤍 We will cling to the comfort + unwavering peace of the Shepherd—when we get overwhelmed, feel burnt out by life’s obligations, or are struggling with tension of any kind, we will lean into Him. His presence is our calm + our help.
