It’s okay to be unsure and feel a little shaky.
It’s okay to be unsure if you can do it.
It’s okay to wonder if you have the capacity or capability to sustain.
It’s okay to be facing hard things and want to run the other way.
It’s okay to feel the weight of the world and think, “I’m just not sure what He’s asking of me.”
In all of these moments, go back to Him.
With the tough transition you find yourself in,
With the medical diagnosis you didn’t ask for,
With the family dynamic you don’t know how to navigate,
With the financial burden you can’t lift on your own,
With the general anxiety that makes your spirit restless,
With the disappointment you feel from the actions of others,
With the desires you wonder if God sees or cares about,
With EVERYTHING—the little and the big, the seemingly unimportant and the life-altering—all of it, go back to Him.
Is He faithful?
Is He? Do you believe that?
This doesn’t mean the practicalities or logistics will shake out exactly as you foresaw or expected; in fact, they probably won’t.
But what it does mean? That wherever you are, in whatever situation you’re working through, amidst whatever circumstances you find yourself in, with whatever weight you feel on your shoulders, His faithfulness is protecting you.
Covering you on every side—you are surrounded.
Ushering you into gracious territory, holding your hand so you don’t slip, and whispering His promises to you when the current view feels discouraging.
He is faithful to do it.
You won’t know how or when or what or why sometimes…but this we know—comprehension has nothing to do with faithfulness.
Hold onto this. Write these verses down. Tell your soul that hope is how you’re traveling because the Healer is leading you.
