What if success isn't actually making me successful?

I have a feeling our generation is going to become known for one of two things.

We’ll either keep chasing a definition of success that leaves us exhausted…OR we’ll become the generation that courageously reorders our lives around what matters most.

And honestly? I think we’re already seeing the shift.
More people are asking questions they weren’t asking five years ago.

Is this pace sustainable?
Why do I feel so disconnected when I’ve never been more connected?
What if success isn’t actually making me successful?

I don’t think those questions are signs that we’re failing.
I think they’re signs that we’re WAKING UP!!!!

Because no amount of achievement can quiet a soul that was created for communion with God. No promotion, purchase, accomplishment, or perfectly curated life can carry the weight of being the center of who we are.

Jesus never invited us to sprinkle Him into already full lives. He invited us into an entirely different way of living.

“Seek first the kingdom ABOVE ALL ELSE, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
Matthew 6:33 wasn’t another demand. It was an invitation to build from a different foundation—one where our worth isn’t earned, our peace isn’t fragile, and our priorities are no longer dictated by whatever the world happens to celebrate.

I wonder if this is the invitation in front of our generation.
Not to reject ambition, hard work, or influence—but to refuse to build our lives around them.

To become people who are just as intentional about the condition of our souls as we are about the goals on our calendars.
To build HOMES where people are deeply KNOWN.
To become less impressed by what looks successful and more captivated by what is FAITHFUL.

Maybe the next move of God won’t simply be seen in packed stadiums or viral moments.
Maybe it’ll be seen in ordinary people making extraordinary decisions to put Jesus back at the center of everything.
Wouldn’t that be just like our God?!?!

And I have a feeling that’s the kind of legacy that will outlive us all.
Let’s keep being disrupted.
Let’s keep waking up.
