Today will be full of opportunities to continually pick up things so your hands will be full. Because when they’re full, it feels more like you control things, outcomes, perceptions, and circumstances…when in reality, the only way to receive what God has for you is to be open-handed. To be so loosely tied to the outcomes and expectations of the world so you can fully embrace and receive what the King has prepared for you.
The wild thing is, you often don’t realize you’re shouldering so much weight…until you start to evaluate what’s crushing you.
Here’s what you DON’T have to carry today:
1. Your value has been sealed and you’re relevant because your Maker is timeless. End of story. Release that.
2. The outside feels impressive but its joy is short-lived. Feeling “put-together” maintains an image but you are made in HIS image. He is holding you together.
3. Manna for each day. God will provide. Your job? Obedience. Trust.
4. People are the point of life so relational tension will eat away at your soul if you let it. But good news? You get to release their heart to the One who made their heart, FULLY confident He will bring healing how He sees fit.
5. If it’s on your roadmap, God will equip you for it. You can’t assess your agility, ability, and aptitude for then based on now.
6. You are human and will always have things you wish you could change or how you could’ve been better—let go of that weight + regret. Channel that energy into showing up now.
7. Outcomes are not your responsibility. The story God is weaving is so much bigger than just here, just now.
8. Just because someone expects something of you doesn’t mean it’s yours to do, carry, say, or live. God sets that boundary line for you.
9. You could spend forever worrying about tomorrow or you could LIVE this day + remember He’s always had tomorrow. Plus, most what-ifs don’t materialize how you predict.
10. There is only ONE truth- the Word of God. That must be your source of identity. Freely walk in what He says.
Breathe deep. Jostle your shoulders a little bit—is the weight reallocated?
His yoke is easy…His burden is light.
The world doesn’t get to keep you weighed down today 🤍
