Another new beginning where we get to answer the question, “Will I trust that He is good and that He is God?” In a million little ways.
Another chance to remember that here isn’t our home but we get to live everyday with Heaven on the horizon and remind the world of a hope that doesn’t disappoint—so. Much. GRACE.
Jesus, Thank You!!!!
I could spend my life saying that over and over and over again and it would merely skim the surface of gratitude that You deserve.
But what You ask of me is that my life reflects our relationship—that others would see that I know You, that I spend time with You, that I believe Your promises and trust Your heart—that my peace and strength aren’t contingent upon the circumstances of what’s around me but rather on the unchanging truth of who YOU are and what Your Word says.
Will You help me hold this tightly? That is the mission this week—to cease striving and remember that I am living for an audience of One—You—but as I do, You refill and refuel me to live powerfully and purposely here. THANK YOU.
When my anxiety or fear starts to swirl or I begin to reach for control, humble my spirit. Get my mind off of what isn’t my job to worry about and direct me to walk with You. Literally and figuratively, walking and talking with You saves me. As I turn down the noise of the world and turn up Your whisper, I find rest for my soul. Oh how I forget that so many of my concerns are not even what You ask of me. Recenter me. Replant my focus and restore my joy.
It brings me great courage and confidence to remember that You catch every ball I drop, You cover every space I cannot, and You canvas my life with unending hope. Peace. Strength like a mighty river that can’t be stopped.
You are my Good Shepherd—with You, I lay down in green pastures and walk by peaceful streams.
With You, I am free and I am safe.
With You, the world of uncertainty becomes the world of possibility.
Lead me in Your love:
