Worry or Trust– You pick for today.

on April 25, 2017

This question– at every moment– is one that rings true for our lives. Regardless of whether anything “big” seems to be occurring or whether the rain has subsided, we answer this question in the way that we live day in and day out.

When you decide where you’re going to put your hard-earned money, you are given the chance to either trust Him with it and give as He asks or to worry you will not have enough and tuck it all away.

When you decide whether you’re going to pursue that goal that seems allusive and too large, you are presented with the opportunity to either trust God to fill in the gaps or worry that you still don’t have what it takes.

When your mind finally takes a moment to rest in your work day, you are given the chance to travel down one road of expectation, trusting the best is yet to come, or jump on the worry wagon and fear the uncertainty of it all.

In the big things and the little, we all have this choice. The worst thing we can do is play ignorant to the fact that it is our decision.

Life may not always hand you the best circumstances but your faith is ALWAYS revealed in your response to those.

So, today, let me ask you– what will you choose?

My friend, worry and trust are so closely connected, that we must be aware of this choice and the power of self-control. Don’t listen to that lie that worry is your only option– trust is the vehicle to God’s perspective and it is at your disposal 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ya hear?

Now, trust Him! We got this because He’s got us.

“Sovereign Lord, you are God! Your covenant is trustworthy, and you have promised these good things to your servant.” -2 Samuel 7:28

“Those who trust in their riches will fall, but the righteous will thrive like a green leaf.” -Proverbs 11:28
