What would you tell your younger self?

Think about it…
Imagine you 15 years ago or 10 years ago or even 3 years ago… what would you tell that person?
Wouldn’t it sound a lot like:
“Hey, SLOW DOWN!”
“Friend, EYES UP!”
Hey, you’re doing better than you think you are!”
“Turn around. Do you see how far you’ve come? Celebrate this place!”
“I love you but you need to get off your phone some. Life is passing you by.”
“Hey, it’s okay—healing is a process.”
“Look, you did the best you could with what you knew. Let it go. There will be a million opportunities to try again.”
“They don’t like you? So! How many people are in the world? Don’t let one person dampen your light.”
“He will provide! I promise you won’t be able to predict it but it’ll be the best. That’s why He’s God.”
…and on and on and on, right?

You would be gentle with your soul, grace-giving with your heart, truth-directing with your mind, Kingdom-focused with your hands, and joyfully-excited with your spirit.
You would want the you then to know that despite the world trying to tell you what the greatest commodity + riches are, TIME is actually what it is.
And the present is all 👏🏻 you 👏🏻 have 👏🏻!

But how is that younger you should be told those things but present you is a little stubborn to still believe them?
It’s like you want to coach an athlete by making them review tape + and write down their faults instead of taking that heart of wisdom and doing drills NOW. Building the infrastructure for health + healing + wholeness NOW.

What if you let the hope advise you instead of shame lead you?
What if reflection led to renewal instead of the reverse?

In 3 years, what do you hope you believed about God now? What do you pray you finally stepped into, let go of, or pursued?

We like to live in theoreticals so things remain a conversation when the Holy Spirit has empowered us to awaken to the practical and make it application!
